Whole School Impact

Last year, JA of Northeastern NY launched a new initiative called Full Impact. Junior Achievement curriculum is designed for sequential learning with the ultimate goal is to teach students a behavior so financial literacy and workforce development becomes a natural skill set and understanding. JA is working with Superintendents all the way down to teachers to create a whole impact system reaching every student K-5.

In an effort to create sustainability of Full Impact programs, we are matching schools to different corporate partners to help provide the volunteers and create a community connection for students.

Recently, JA Board Member, Sasa Mirkovic, recruited Inspire Confidence Group employees, interns, and members of the Financial Planning Association to join him at Carroll Hill Elementary in Troy for JA in a day.

"Junior Achievement is an amazing experience that engages students in a fun way. It teaches about leadership, financial responsibility, business opportunities and entrepreneurship. As a business owner, and an immigrant, these things are part of my core values and through Junior Achievement, we open the eyes of upcoming generations to all sorts of positive possibilities that will strengthen their communities and the country as a whole." – Sasa
